Freedom Medical Alarms, the joint venture with Wellington Free Ambulance, is thrilled to be named an accredited provider of medical alarms through the Ministry of Social Development. The new two-year contract means Freedom Medical Alarms is accredited to supply those who qualify through Work and Income under the Disability Allowance.
As part of this contract Freedom Medical Alarms will also expand into new regions across New Zealand – starting with Auckland in the near future.
Debbie Booth, Freedom Medical Alarms National Manager said she was excited to be able to continue to deliver alarms under the Ministry’s contract.
“We have been in business supporting people to live safely and independently in their homes since 2005. As the only medical alarm directly connected to the Central Emergency Ambulance Communication Centre we understand how important it is to have immediate access to support when you need it. Just as important is the comfort family and whānau have, knowing help is close at hand for their loved ones and we are delighted to be able to continue our support for families in New Zealand.”
Freedom Medical Alarms are also still available to private clients where accessible.
